Reading the Words

Students have encoded (spelled) these words using their knowledge of phonemes and graphemes. You have taught them how to decode. They are ready to read these words. These words are in lines across the page which gives students practice in rapid automatic naming. You will find that as students begin storing words in the Word Form Center, they can rapidly read these words across the page.
