RoxieReading 1, originally called Word Workshop B,  is designed for Grade 1 or intervention through Grade 12. It is designed to meet the needs of those who are acquainted with the alphabet but may not or may not know it well. It provides powerful tools so students learn to read independently. The multisensory approach reaches even the lowest achiever.

Description

RoxieReading 1 teaches most of the 127 graphemes of English. Review is embedded within the lessons.  Each lesson takes between 25 – 40 minutes, depending on the abilities of the student.  Teach four lessons per week.

RoxieReading 1 is appropriate for these students:

  1. Grade 1 classr0oms
  2. Special education students of any age who need to learn to read
  3. English Language Learners in K – 12 who are just learning English.

Roxie Reading 1: Words and Sentences provide student pages for each lesson.  Students practice reading words and sentences.

RoxieReading 2: Teacher Resource provides templates for monitoring progress and dictation, and other resources you can download and print.
