RoxieReading 2 is designed for Grade 2 or intervention through Grade 12.  It strengthens reading skills with powerful tools. It is designed to meet the needs of those who know the alphabet and some of the common graphemes beyond the alphabet but may not be able to decode well. These students are usually weak in reading words with the short vowel sound. The multisensory approach reaches even the lowest achiever.

Description

Roxie Reading 2 teaches all of the 127 graphemes of English as well as prefixes and suffixes.  Review is embedded within the lessons. Each lesson takes 40-60 minutes.  Teach one lesson twice a week or one-half lesson four times a week.  354 pages

RoxieReading 2 is appropriate for these students:

  1. Grade 2 classrooms
  2. Remedial students in Grades 2 – 12 who are reading below 4th grade level.
  3. English Language Learners in Grades 2 – 3 who know the alphabet and can read some words.

Roxie Reading 2: Words and Activities provide student pages for each lesson.  Students practice reading words and engage in activities that build spelling and vocabulary.

RoxieReading 2: Teacher Resource provides templates for monitoring progress and dictation, scripting for the beginning lessons, and other resources you can download and print.
