RoxieReading 3, originally called Word Workshop C, is designed to meet the needs of those who know the alphabet and some additional graphemes. This is the most used curriculum for the average student in Grades 4 – 12 who is reading below grade level as well as students in Grades 2 and 3.

Description

Roxie Reading 3 teaches all of the 127 graphemes of English as well as prefixes and suffixes.  Review is embedded within the lessons. Each lesson takes 40-60 minutes.  Teach one lesson twice a week or one-half lesson four times a week.  354 pages

RoxieReading 3  is appropriate for these students:

  1. Grade 2-3 classrooms
  2. Remedial students in Grades 2 – 12 who are reading below 4th grade level.
  3. English Language Learners in Grades 2 – 3 who know the alphabet and can read some words.

Roxie Reading 3: Words and Activities is a companion resource for RoxieReading 3: Teacher Edition. It contains words and activities for each lesson that build spelling and vocabulary.

RoxieReading 3: Teacher Resource provides templates for monitoring progress and dictation, scripting for the beginning lessons, and other resources you can download and print.
